9th June, Inna Anisimova, PR Partner Managing Director, made a speech at the AKOS (Russian branch of ICCO) round table within the RIF 2020 Conference where experts discussed the challenges they had to take on and changes in marketing business processes.
Companies were facing a new reality — everybody went online. Someone immediately felt confident in digital and someone was building work processes from scratch.
Inna Anisimova was the first to share her observations on “COVID19 Marketing”: delivery players broke the score, for example, X5 Retail Group increased online sales by 40%, and Ozon traffic in April-May grew by a third by December — their busiest month. Global brands have adapted key messages: safety and customer care are now the top priority.
As Inna told, the agency market was dumping, small companies were closing. More than 60 agencies in Moscow have fired the entire staff, while the remaining players are getting the number of the promotion requests for online games, media, etc.
